Marine policies are intended to cover property exposures that are generally not provided for in a standard property policy.  In general, they are broader than the typical property policy and are often tailored specifically to the needs of individual businesses.  Marine coverage is broken down into two basic groups:

Ocean Marine

Ocean Marine insurance is generally intended to cover the transportation of goods and/or merchandise by vessels crossing foreign and domestic waters, including any inland or aviation transit involved with the shipment.  Policies also generally encompass coverage for damage to the vessels involved in the shipments and legal liability arising during the course of a shipment.  These coverage types include:

Inland Marine
